This is my very first blog and another tasks I'm taking on to share with the world just how special my little girl Jennifer is!
I gave birth to Jennifer eight years ago. From the moment I looked into her eyes, I knew that she was special. No, her father and I did not opt for any testing to prepare us for the journey of raising a child with special needs. We welcomed her into the world and five days later it was confirmed...Our Jennifer was diagnosed with Trisomy 21.
In the last eight years, I've learned more about the world than I ever would have without this little girl. She is an amazing gift from God and our entire family would agree!
Jennifer has an older brother, Jonathan. I can honestly say that I've never known another brother that has loved his sister so much. He is an awesome "Bubba" (Jennifer's nickname for him)!
Jennifer lives with her brother, Daddy Nick and me. We also have some four-legged family members. Our two dogs are Mr. Pickles and Daisy. Our cat is named Caspian. Jennifer and Jonathan also spend a lot of time with their Daddy.
So, there are the nuts and bolts of Jennifer. She has three parents, one brother, many pets and happens to have Down syndrome. I hope you enjoy getting to know her!
