Many years ago, I was introduced to Froggy by the kids' Mema when she began reading these books, by Jonathan London, to my son. Mema, of course, also introduced Jennifer to Froggy when she was much younger.
Tonight, Jennifer and I baked strawberry cupcakes for the office staff at school. We just had to follow that up with Froggy Bakes a Cake as her bedtime story.
At 8 and 13, my kids still appreciate a good Froggy book. These books are not only fun, but part of our family story. Thank you Mema for bringing Froggy into our lives!
This blog is about raising a daughter with Down syndrome, along with an older son and younger son. I want to share this blessing with others and use my gifts from God to teach others just how exciting life can be with unexpected miracles.

The Reading Nook
As you know, Jennifer's favorite thing to do is READ! Thanks to some great ideas from Pinterest, Daddy Nick and I made her a reading nook this weekend.
She LOVES it and was quick to kick us out of her room so that she could read in her nook by herself. I did get a later invite to read one book to her, but that's it. She's been enjoying the time in her quiet space to relax and read to her stuffed animals.
I'm so glad to be able to create this area for her. Anything that will comfort her and promote her love for reading at the same time is awesome in my book!

Meeting Abigayle
With Jennifer feeling better, the kids FINALLY were able to meet Baby Abigayle this weekend. While Jennifer enjoyed getting to see her, I think Jonathan fell in love! He couldn't get enough of this precious baby and was ready to tell Daddy Nick that he wants a baby at our house. I was not opposed to this idea at all! :-)
To my surprise, Jennifer was very good with Abigayle. I thought for sure that she would want to hold her the entire time and be in her face, but she was fine holding her once and going on about her business. She, of course, had to explore Abigayle's room and let her own doll "sleep" in her crib. Jennifer, also, didn't have a problem seeing her Momma and Bubba holding the baby. No jealousy at all!
I do believe that both our children are ready to have a sibling. Now, if we could only get Daddy Nick and Momma ready!
